bbbbb: Beep Brrp Bing Bang Bosh

Ed: Adding trailer.

Woo, I've finished a new game. Quick Ed: And now a finalist! :)

A joint effort by Stephen Lingham, Sam Gross and myself with this first version made in a week. While I have already finished The Lost earlier this month, and more on that and my new university project soon, this is a game I can actually share with the world. Which is always nice!

Beep Brrp Bing Bang Bosh, featuring code from Stephen, art by Sam as well as music and code from myself, is a cross between Canabalt-esque running games, Rock Band and VVVVVV. Each lane controls an instrument, and each button controls a character in a lane. Switch lanes avoiding the spikes and keep the music going. Every so often there is the WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE, with players thrown into new lanes. There’s only a few seconds to get ready for the next onslaught. xD

An exhibition 5-player version of the game was submitted to Experimental Gameplay's 5 Button competition last week and you can find that here, along with 46 other cool games. I have been working a bit on a single-player focused version over the last couple days and I'm looking forward to releasing it on Windows Phone and Xbox Live Indie Games very soon, hopefully with much better drums and a tighter level design.

I wonder if I could possibly finish a game every month this year? :D
